Muhammad Ali was also well-known for his trash talking episodes. The famous boxer came up with a strategy referred to as the "rope a dope." In this strategy, Ali will play possum and then allow the fighter to wail on him whereas he leans on the rope. This play will give the opponent over confidence letting them exhaust all of their energy during the initial rounds. Once his opponents tires out, Ali will come to attack his opponent exerting little effort to tackle him down.
When this happens, it is guaranteed that the fight is a win. Thus for most MMA fighters, it is always a must to fight strategically instead of charging the opponent based on emotional outburst.
